We were very pleased by the AI-generated narration — the pauses, the emotional range — but one thing we noticed (which everyone working in AI must contend with): hallucinations. Specifically, our Dreamaker has occasional bouts of pronunciation insanity. Why? Who knows. They’re not even twisted in the same way—so many cases of completely mispronounced words, Sudden British Accent Syndrome, or other accents. They rarely last more than 5-10 seconds. Our master engineer, Thomas, referred to the "black box" that is AI and admonished us not to spend (too much) time thinking about the why of it. PJ suggested that leaving the mistakes in showed we were not trying to perfect the narration by hand (feature, not bug). Still, why does it happen right when it does? Is there a trigger? There has to be a reason, right?
